South African From the Waist Down! – by the Car Guards
Silver was given the opportunity of a life time to send out his uniquely South African message to the world and keep the flag flying.
The story behind “South African from the waist down”…
A friendly and effervescent car guard known as ’Silver’ made up a catchy song to sing while watching cars parked in the streets of Cape Town.
One day, recently, he was overheard by the music composer Alistair Davis, who fell in love with the song instantly and decided to take Silver to the Kaleidosound recording studio in Cape Town to meet the music producer Gabi Le Roux, who produces numerous albums for top selling artists including Mandoza.
Gabi was initially not too keen, but Alistair really believed in the song and called his old friend Aidan who then agrees to work on the lyrics, together with Silver. Finally they approached Gabi again and this time he’s sold!
“South African from the waist down” went into production and the recorded version got a record deal with EMI South Africa.
The single is now available for download worldwide on iTunes & is also available as a mobile ringtone. It was released on June 28th on the “Halala Soccer Album”.
The music video to “South African from the waist down” showing Silver’s unique message to the world was produced by Coza Productions.

Als ich mich wirklich selbst zu lieben begann
Als ich mich wirklich selbst zu lieben begann, habe ich verstanden,
dass ich immer und bei jeder Gelegenheit, zur richtigen Zeit am richtigen Ort bin
und das alles, was geschieht richtig ist. Von da an konnte ich ruhig sein.
Heute weiß ich, das nennt sich „SELBSTACHTUNG“.
Als ich mich wirklich selbst zu lieben begann, konnte ich erkennen,
dass emotionaler Schmerz und Leid nur Warnungen für mich sind, gegen meine eigene Wahrheit zu leben. Heute weiß ich, das nennt man „AUTHENTISCH-SEIN“.
Als ich mich wirklich selbst zu lieben begann, habe ich verstanden,
wie es jemand wirklich beschämt, ihm meine Wünsche aufzuzwingen, obwohl ich wusste,
dass die Zeit nicht reif war, auch wenn ich selbst dieser Mensch war.
Heute weiß ich, das nennt man „RESPEKT“.
Als ich mich wirklich zu lieben begann, habe ich aufgehört mich nach einem anderen Leben
zu sehnen und konnte sehen, das alles um mich herum eine Aufforderung zum wachsen war.
Heute weiß ich, das nennt man „REIFE“.
Als ich mich selbst wirklich zu lieben begann, habe ich aufgehört, mich meiner freien Zeit zu berauben. Und ich habe aufgehört, weiter grandiose Projekte für die Zukunft zu entwerfen.
Heute mache ich nur das, was mir Spaß und Freude bereitet, was ich liebe und mein Herz
zum singen bringt, auf meine Art und Weise und in meinem Tempo.
Heute weiß ich, das nennt man „EHRLICHKEIT“.
Als ich mich selbst wirklich zu lieben begann, habe ich mich von allem befreit,
was nicht gut für mich war. Von Speisen, Menschen, Dingen, Situationen und von Allem,
was mich immer wieder hinunterzog, weg von mir selbst.
Anfangs nannte ich das „GESUNDEN EGOISMUS“. Aber heute weiß ich das ist „SELBSTLIEBE“.
Als ich mich wirklich zu lieben begann, habe ich aufgehört, immer Recht haben zu wollen.
So habe ich mich weniger geirrt. Heute habe ich erkannt, das nennt man „EINFACH-NUR-SEIN“.
Als ich mich selbst wirklich zu lieben begann, habe ich mich geweigert weiter in der Vergangenheit zu leben und mich um meine Zukunft zu sorgen. Jetzt lebe ich nur mehr in diesem Augenblick wo ALLES stattfindet. So lebe ich heute jeden Tag und nenne es
„VOLLKOMMENHEIT“.
Als ich mich wirklich zu lieben begann, da erkannte ich, dass mich mein Denken armselig und krank machen kann. Als ich jedoch meine Herzenskräfte anforderte,
bekam der Verstand einen wichtigen Partner. Diese Verbindung nenne ich heute „HERZENSWEISHEIT“.
Wir brauchen uns nicht weiter vor Auseinandersetzungen, Konflikten und Problemen mit uns selbst und anderen fürchten, denn sogar Sterne knallen manchmal aufeinander und es entstehen neue Welten.
Heute weiß ich, DAS IST das Leben!

Desiderata
Go placidly amid the noise and haste and remember what peace there may be in silence. As far as possible without surrender be on good terms with all persons.
