Borussia Dortmund drops 2 points in eight-goal thriller against VFB Stuttgart

What a stunning football match on a lovely Friday evening at the beautiful Westfalenstadion in Dortmund!

Borussia Dortmund Draws in a dramatic game 4:4

This is why we all love football. Although for true fans, it was quite a dramatic change of emotions, giving some strain to the heart. In the end those emotions are what it is all about.

Borussia Dortmund drew 4-4 in a frantic finish to their home match against VfB Stuttgart last night.

During the last 15 minutes of the game the lead changed hands three times before both teams shared the points.

After a comfortable 2:0 lead by Dortmund dominating the game with plenty of chances well into the second half, three goals in eight minutes by Stuttgart turned the game on its head.

But Dortmund drew level again with Mats Hummels scoring in the 82 minute.

It all looked set as if the match was settled when joker Ivan Perisic hit the ball under the crossbar after coming off the substitute’s bench in the 87 minute. Dortmund was in the lead again 4:3.

But it was not over yet. With 3 minutes of extra time, Gentner stunned the Südtrebüne with a dramatic late strike in the 93rd minute, which opened the door for Bayern munich to close down the gap to 3 points today.

The atmosphere in the sold out Westfalenstadion was absolutely mental throughout the complete match, after coach Jürgen Klopp had pletched to the supporters to create the loudest appearance of the season. There is just no stadium and crowd like this anywhere else in the world…I felt the shiver, even as a life-long BVB supporter.

Pressconference after the game with Jürgen Klopp:

What did you think about the game?
Was it the most dramatic game of the season so far?
Do you think Dortmund will win the double this year?
