I would like to share this message I received from a friend of mine today. I think it is another good reminder how important it is to consistently evaluate what is really essential for us in our lives, and to focus on these things that are most important to us by living in the present moment, being aware of our actions and moving towards who we truly are and what we desire. Here we go.
Determination enables you to pass through the barriers of fear, doubt and insecurities. It’s a strength that takes you on the road to success.
Determination can’t make it without patience.
Patience teaches you not to push, but rather to wait and appreciate the game of life, knowing that everything will change at some point.
Ask yourself: What is preventing me from moving forward? What keeps me stuck in the past?
Are you ready to say goodbye to the old habits, thinking, vocabulary and ways that are not working for you?
What is time calling me to do? – Time is saying: GO FOR IT!
But what do we do? We give excuses.
In the new year, everyone has the motivation and enthusiasm to achieve their aims and goals, …but.
Remove this “but” of excuses and reasons. There will always be reasons – people, situations, weather…
PAY ATTENTION TO WHAT IS HAPPENING IN YOUR INNER WORLD.
Just remember, situations will arise. Why should I allow a situation to have the power to remove my happiness!
Do not take something easy and make it difficult. Do not expand upon things and make them complicated in your head.
When you pay attention to what is happening in your inner world, you increase your ability to focus. And this gives you the power to make decisions easily. You have a clear sense of what to do and what not to do; what is right and wrong; what to say and not to say.
ALIGN YOUR CHARACTER WITH YOUR AIM
Simply develop the characteristics of success – align your character with your aim. Then, no matter what, stay focused!
Be careful not to get caught up in anything that will bring you down. Dont disturb anyone or allow yourself to get disturbed. Dont be suppressed nor impressed.
Keep good wishes for everyone even if they are pressing your buttons. The faith you keep in other people will help them to move forward.
This is what I do:
I become quiet and stop my mind from roaming here and there…and then I go deep inside…I look at myself…I look at God and then connect…recharging my inner light.
God is my Power Supply – always there, always available.
When I stay in God’s company, I become a detached observer. As an observer of the drama of life, I learn to be in the drama and enjoy each scene with pleasure.
Then, instead of worrying about how others see me, I pay attention to how I see others. I look at myself and at others with God’s vision – God definitely loves each one.
YOU CAN MAKE THE IMPOSSIBLE POSSIBLE
You can make the impossible, possible. Just have faith. When you have faith, you wont sit around, waiting for things to happen. You will take action.
With a pure heart and a pure thought you can do anything. JUST DO IT!
That is what time is saying to me – LIVE AND MAKE THE MOST OF EVERY MOMENT!
It has to be now…or never.
This is it – the moment!
This is the point of change…the time to make it happen.
This is for you, because I am grateful to have you in my live & I want you to know that I care for you!

As we grow in strength in our spiritual life, we give up the habit of worrying. It serves no purpose other than to make us feel tense and miserable. When I stop fretting about things that are beyond my control and focus instead on generating optimistic and kind thoughts, my life can begin to flow in ever more positive directions. Such a light and easy approach to life enables me to take everything in my stride.
You are in my thoughts, and even though I am not physically with you right now, you are party of my daily prayers and I am grateful for our relationship!
Peace is simplicity. Simplicity is beauty. Choose a day as your day of simplicity. Speak little, and listen with attention. Do something incognito and nice for a person you are close to. Eat simple and natural food. Create time periods for not doing anything – just walk, look around, live the moment. Have your mind open to a more profound and silent sensitivity. Appreciate each scene and each person as they are. In the evening, write down your discoveries. Observe the state of your mind.
All things have their time. All things have their answers. All things have their right to be. Accepting this reality, all things come into harmony.

Don”t ask, “how are you”, but “who are you?” Speak to the soul. Know clearly who you are.
When you look at yourself, what is it that you see inside?
First you have to eliminate false pride, which results in inferiority or superiority.
Inferiority says, “No one recognises me”, and superiority says, “I am great”.
Become free from both of these.
Identify the positive qualities within. Appreciate who you are and the qualities you have. Put them into practice more often.
When we use our qualities without ego then God fills those qualities with His power. It is as if the speciality is no longer mine but it becomes a gift that God has especially given to me.
Focus your emotions and your energies in the direction that”s aligned with the soul. This is a very simple matter.
Go deep within and ask yourself: what d I have to do.
The step into the soul”s potential, let go of the past. Whatever has taken place, say good it was in the drama of life.
Keep the soul”s potential in front of you, then you can reach it. If you keep thinking about how you were in the past then this will hold you back. No one can hold you back, but you can get held back.
Step out of your fears and say YES!
Remove these four expressions from your vocabulary:
1. but – I would like to do this, but…
2. try – I will try…

Dadi”s method for living without fear: LIVE EVERY MOMENT AS IF IT IS YOUR LAST!
Become strong, stand on your own feet, and then you will have the confidence to believe that things are possible. When your attitude is strong you begin to feel passion and enthusiasm.
Sometimes people ask me, “Where do you get all your energy from, Dadi?”
I have energy because I have never wasted my energy and I never will. In fact, energy comes from firstly my own spirituality, secondly my connection with God, thirdly, charitable actions.
Where does happiness come from? – The heart!
I maintain it, so no one can take it away. My happiness is my personal property from God. I won’t let anyone or anything steal it.
Don”t allow your passion and enthusiasm to reduce for any reason.
If you let it reduce, it takes a long time to build it up again.
Your dreams, your destination is high, but keep them in your vision.
Don”t let your vision waver. Don’t waste time in seeing the situations.
Keep moving forward.
In relationships, with the self or in your work, don”t get tired or bored and give up.
How do you stop yourself from getting tired? When you are working, make sure your mind stays rested.
Don”t think too much about the work. Think too much and you are busy! Rushing around…you greet, you eat, you think, you walk, all in a rush!
What kind of life is that? – Slow down!
Be peaceful. Being peaceful does not mean being inefficient or ineffective.
Sit and eat peacefully…with love!
Interact with other with love.
Experiment with this and see how much energy you accumulate.
Breathe easily. Sit with alertness. Don”t get distracted. Don”t look here and there.
Stabilise yourself and concentrate. You will then receive a lot of energy.
Wow! I feel wow because God has so much confidence in me and this helps me to be confident in myself.
When your mind and heart is light, you will experience wow! The feeling of wow should glimmer on your face.
Keep the habit of being light. Fix this slogan within yourself: I AM HAPPY!
Remember it and practice making your mind smile.
When you feel your life is wow, then like a butterfly – beautiful, light, you”ll be able to flutter and fly high.
This is spiritual metamorphosis – positive change from within!
Hey friend, sorry for my late reply, was busy moving and settling in to life in London. Actually still in the process of doing that, as it takes time to get used to life in a different country and you gotta build up a new network of friends, etc, etc.
You do seem like that you are thinking a lot about the situation in Gaza. And I think it is a very good and necessary thing to listen to everything that is happening around us all over the world. But I also think that by confronting ourselves with all the evil that is happening in the world, we can also achieve a negative effect.
How much can you actually make a difference to the situation that is happening in some place somewhere in the world, pretty far away from yourself. Not an immediate and strong one, that is for sure. We need to focus more on what is happening right in front of our door steps in our own community. Cause that”s where everything needs to start, that”s where you and me can make things happen for a better future.
By sharing your views on life and the world with the people around you, you are able to spread the word, and make change happen one step at a time, one person at a time. In the past year I have gotten to know the idea of positive thinking, which is in other terms praying and I have realized that through praying anything is possible. I create my own reality, and I attract everything that happens in my life to me by the power of thoughts and wishes. Since I am consciously practicing it, I have seen much coming true, and my life has taken a very positive direction! I am happy and by me being happy I have an affect on my partner, my family, my friends, and everyone I come in contact with…and I have seen what difference it can make by the feedback I have received. it is just beautiful!
I dont know if you understand what I am trying to say, it is not always easy to put it into words.
Well I believe there is always a reason for things to happen in our life, and I must have asked for something in my life that made it necessary for my car to be taken from me. In the end it is just a car and nothing more. And I have been paid by the insurance, so it all had a happy end.
The police service in SA is definitely a problem. If nothing changes soon, things are going to fall apart, as there is no working justice system.
Jozi is a fascinating place, I must agree. I miss it, but at the same time it was the right time to go, because there is too much bad happening in that city at the same time as it is so beautiful!
I love Cape Town, you are going to have a great time down there. I actually wanne come live there for a while after my studies.!

Positive thinking is a mental attitude that admits into the mind thoughts, words and images that are conductive to growth, expansion and success. It is a mental attitude that expects good and favorable results. A positive mind anticipates happiness, joy, health and a successful outcome of every situation and action. Whatever the mind expects, it finds.
Not everyone accepts or believes in positive thinking. Some consider the subject as just nonsense, and others scoff at people who believe and accept it. Among the people who accept it, not many know how to use it effectively to get results. Yet, it seems that many are becoming attracted to this subject, as evidenced by the many books, lectures and courses about it. This is a subject that is gaining popularity.
It is quite common to hear people say: ‘Think positive!’, to someone who feels down and worried. Most people do not take these words seriously, as they do not know what they really mean, or do not consider them as useful and effective. How many people do you know, who stop to think what the power of positive thinking means?
The following story illustrates how this power works.
Allan applied for a new job, but as his self-esteem was low, and he considered himself as a failure and unworthy of success, he was sure that he was not going to get the job. He had a negative attitude towards himself, and believed that the other applicants were better and more qualified than him. Allan manifested this attitude, due to his negative past experiences with job interviews.
His mind was filled with negative thoughts and fears concerning the job for the whole week before the job interview. He was sure he would be rejected. On the day of the interview he got up late, and to his horror he discovered that the shirt he had planned to wear was dirty, and the other one needed ironing. As it was already too late, he went out wearing a shirt full of wrinkles.
During the interview he was tense, displayed a negative attitude, worried about his shirt, and felt hungry because he did not have enough time to eat breakfast. All this distracted his mind and made it difficult for him to focus on the interview. His overall behavior made a bad impression, and consequently he materialized his fear and did not get the job.
Jim applied for the same job too, but approached the matter in a different way. He was sure that he was going to get the job. During the week preceding the interview he often visualized himself making a good impression and getting the job.
In the evening before the interview he prepared the clothes he was going to wear, and went to sleep a little earlier. On day of the interview he woke up earlier than usual, and had ample time to eat breakfast, and then to arrive to the interview before the scheduled time.
He got the job because he made a good impression. He had also of course, the proper qualifications for the job, but so had Allan.
What do we learn from these two stories? Is there any magic employed here? No, it is all natural. When the attitude is positive we entertain pleasant feelings and constructive images, and see in our mind”s eye what we really want to happen. This brings brightness to the eyes, more energy and happiness. The whole being broadcasts good will, happiness and success. Even the health is affected in a beneficial way. We walk tall and the voice is more powerful. Our body language shows the way you feel inside.
Positive and negative thinking are both contagious. All of us affect, in one way or another, the people we meet. This happens instinctively and on a subconscious level, through thoughts and feelings transference and through body language. People sense our aura and are affected by our thoughts. Is it any wonder that we want to be around positive persons and shun negative ones? People are more disposed to help us if we are positive. They dislike and avoid anyone broadcasting negativity.
Negative thoughts, words and attitude bring up negative and unhappy moods and actions. When the mind is negative, poisons are released into the blood, which cause more unhappiness and negativity. This is the way to failure, frustration and disappointment.
In order to turn the mind toward the positive, inner work and training are required. Attitude and thoughts do not change overnight.
Read about this subject, think about its benefits and persuade yourself to try it. The power of thoughts is a mighty power that is always shaping our life. This shaping is usually done subconsciously, but it is possible to make the process a conscious one. Even if the idea seems strange give it a try, as you have nothing to lose, but only to gain. Ignore what others might say or think about you, if they discover that you are changing the way you think.
Always visualize only favorable and beneficial situations. Use positive words in your inner dialogues or when talking with others. Smile a little more, as this helps to think positively. Disregard any feelings of laziness or a desire to quit. If you persevere, you will transform the way your mind thinks.
Once a negative thought enters your mind, you have to be aware of it and endeavor to replace it with a constructive one. The negative thought will try again to enter your mind, and then you have to replace it again with a positive one. It is as if there are two pictures in front of you, and you choose to look at one of them and disregard the other. Persistence will eventually teach your mind to think positively and ignore negative thoughts.
In case you feel any inner resistance when replacing negative thoughts with positive ones, do not give up, but keep looking only at the beneficial, good and happy thoughts in your mind.
It does not matter what your circumstances are at the present moment. Think positively, expect only favorable results and situations, and circumstances will change accordingly. It may take some time for the changes to take place, but eventually they do.
Another method to employ is the repetition of affirmations. It is a method which resembles creative visualization, and which can be used in conjunction with it.
